B&Q is the UK's leading DIY and garden centre retailer,
offering over 45,000 encouraging home improvement and garden

trade professionals. B&Q is the number one DIY retailer in
Europe and the third biggest in the world, with more than 60
shops opened globally, including B&Q Beijing, which is now

1969 B&Q was established by Richard Block and David
Quayle and the primary store opened in Portswood, Southampton.
1979 the Company had gone public; 26 stores in function. 2002
B&Q opened its first store in the Republic of Ireland.
