Customers with a Great Universal Account
Once you have clicked the button 'Proceed to checkout' in the shopping basket select your preferred payment
option, you can either:
- Add the item to your account
If you want to add the order to your account, just tick the ' Great Universal Account' box during the checkout
process.
- Pay by Credit or Debit Card
If you want to pay by credit card tick the box 'I'll be paying in full using my credit card' at the 'payment details'
section of the checkout process. Complete your personal details and your card details. You can pay by Switch, Visa debit
(Delta), Visa credit or Mastercard. We do not currently accept Electron cards as a method of payment.
The information from the order form is placed on a secure site which prevents other users from accessing your
personal details
New Customers
Once you have clicked the button 'Proceed to checkout' in the shopping basket select the preferred payment

- Open an account
Open a credit account and take advantage of interest free payments over 20 weeks*.
To open a new account, simply tick the box 'Open a Great Universal Account'. Complete the Personal and Delivery detail form
and finally the credit application questionnaire.
When opening a credit account, if you place your order before 7pm, Monday-Friday or 6pm, Saturday-Sunday, we
will try to get back to you within 2 hours to let you know if your application has been successful.
*Credit is subject to status and written quotations are available on request.

Delivering the goods
Great Universal give you a range of home delivery options - so you can
enjoy more choice
Standard Delivery
If you decide not to use our Next Day or Specified Day services, place your internet order
before 10am and most small items will be delivered FREE within 48 hours* subject to stock and courier availability.
Please note that some items are delivered direct from our supplier and may take longer to arrive. We will inform you of
this when you place your order.
Next Day Delivery
If you have previously placed an order with us we can guarantee delivery of most
small items and some larger items the next day for an additional charge of £2.95 if you order before 12 noon.
Order before 12 noon Monday to Thursday and most items will be delivered the following day. If you order on a
Friday, the goods will be delivered on Monday as delivery is not available on weekends and public holidays. To
benefit from this service, order in the normal way and then select your chosen delivery day during the 'arrange
delivery' section in checkout. This service is only available for items that we know are 'In Stock' at your local
warehouse.
Specified Day Delivery
Great Universal can now guarantee that most items will be delivered on the day of
your choice within the next 5 working days for just £2.95.* For example, order on Monday and you can choose
to receive delivery from Wednesday to the following Monday (excluding Saturday and Sunday). This service is
subject to stock and courier availability.
Delivery to a different address
If you would like a parcel to be left with a neighbour, in a safe place such as a
garage or outhouse or delivered to an alternative address for specific orders or on a permanent basis, please
email the Customer Services Team or call our Order Line on 0800 0922 622.
If you would like a specific order delivered to an alternative address, complete the details during
checkout.
Stock Availability
A stock check is run each night to determine the availability of each item. If
an item or option (such as a particular size) is sold out it will say as such within the item details.
Unfortunately an item may go out of stock during the day, should this happen after you have submitted your order
then you will be contacted, as soon as possible, by one of our Customer Service Advisers. If an item is not
available, we may send a substitute of equal or greater value which you can return free of charge if it is
unacceptable.
Delivery times for each item will be shown in your shopping basket. Items indicated as 'In Stock' will normally
be delivered within 48 hours.*
