Jessops Photography
A high Street camera store
with everything in the world for the photographer is Jessops
Photography. The Sales Assistants will take the time to reply
your questions and do not give you the sensation that you
should by now know the answer.
If you are following a specific purchase they do not have in
collection in the shop you are in they will take the difficulty
of finding a town that has it and coordinate for it to be
either sent to you or them.
They have a superior
range of second hand equipments which is meticulously checked
out before you pay for. Jessops is the biggest photographic
retailer in the UK. It was established in 1935, so a lot has
transformed since then, but one thing has sustained constant:
the extraordinarily high standard of customer service. That has
been the keystone of the Company's success, and its exceptional
growth proves that the approach is working. The store range now
includes 21 stores nationwide and the whole collection turned
over £250 million in the year up to September
2008.
The prominence in store
has for all time been on the customer, now more so than ever.
As the reputation of digital imaging continues to grow, the
Company's Spacemix technique lays out stores with four diverse
areas to more precisely reflect customer demand: Camera
hardware, which involves cameras, camcorders and camera phones;
Accessories, where clientele can find many of the extras they
might require for their equipment; Digital Photo centre, which
gives each customer a comprehensive range of digital photo
printing alternatives, plus enough kiosks to practically
eliminate waiting. It also involves printers and scanners;
Customer Service, an area where the client can get any help
they might require. Of course, assistance is on hand throughout
the shop but this area is devoted solely to
service.
Whatever they are looking
for, consumers have a huge array of cameras, camcorders, camera
phones and accessories to select from. And if they can not find
what they require in store, they get it ordered. Jessops is the
UK’s leading expert photographic retailer with a network of
over 211 stores on a national scale. Jessops has a complete
range over 16,000 photographic, video and digital products.
Jessops was established in 1935 and passed out of the control
of the Jessop family in July 1996 when it was the matter of an
institutionally led management buyout/buy-in. At this moment in
time, Jessops was being operated from 70 stores. The company
floated on the London Stock Exchange in November
2004.
In a hard and uncertain
retail environment they concentrated on improving margins and
on reinforcement of their relationships with some major
suppliers. They considerably reduced stock levels during the
period with additional reductions since the year-end. They were
pleased to replenish their banking agreement. It is not
comprehensible when economic conditions will improve but the
grouping of our strong market position, concrete relationships
with suppliers and systematic cost reductions should ensure
that Jessops is in the best position operationally to contract
with the very difficult economic conditions in which they are
operating.” Jessops Photography occupies a strong position in
the market place and has unyielding relationships with their
suppliers.
